Working with us
Yes. Pure Balance Financials is fully virtual and works with small businesses across the United States.
Pricing depends on your number of accounts, monthly transaction volume, and which services you need. After a free consultation we send a fixed monthly quote — no hourly billing surprises.
We work in your existing cloud accounting software, such as QuickBooks Online or Xero. If you don’t have one yet, we’ll help you choose and set it up.
Yes. We offer catch-up and cleanup work to bring past months current before starting your monthly service.
We use accountant or user-level access in your accounting software and read-only connections where possible. We never ask for your bank login credentials.
We don’t prepare tax returns. We keep your books accurate and organized so your CPA or tax preparer can file quickly and correctly — and we’re happy to coordinate with them.
Within one business day on business days.
Bank Reconciliations
Every month, as soon as the statement closes. Monthly reconciliation keeps errors small and your cash balance trustworthy.
Yes. We start with the oldest unreconciled month and work forward, so each period is anchored to a verified starting balance.
Credit Card Reconciliations
For most transactions the card feed is enough. We’ll flag anything that needs a receipt or a quick explanation from you.
We record them to an owner’s draw or shareholder account (whichever fits your entity) so they stay out of your expenses.
Transaction Categorization
We work directly in your existing accounting system, such as QuickBooks Online or Xero. You keep ownership of your file and your data.
Only with your approval. We’ll recommend changes when they make your reports clearer or your tax preparer’s job easier.
Bank & Merchant Fee Categorization
Netting hides both your true revenue and your true cost of accepting payments. Grossing up gives you accurate sales figures and shows when processing costs creep up.
Common ones include Stripe, Square, PayPal, Shopify Payments, and Clover. If you use something else, we’ll work from its payout reports.
Uncategorized & Unusual Transaction Review
We send one consolidated list each month, so you’re not fielding questions every day. Most clients clear it in a few minutes.
No. It’s a monthly review for errors and anomalies. If something looks seriously wrong we’ll tell you promptly so you can investigate.
Monthly P&L Statements
Once the month-end close is complete — typically within the first few weeks of the following month, depending on when statements and your answers come in.
Yes, if your transactions are tracked with classes or locations. We can set that up as part of categorization.
Balance Sheet Preparation
Errors on the balance sheet often mean errors on the P&L. Lenders also rely on it, and it shows your cash position and debts at a glance.
Yes. We record loan proceeds and payments correctly — splitting principal and interest — and set up fixed assets for your tax preparer.
Month-End Close
Usually just answers to a short question list and any statements we can’t access directly. We handle the rest.
Because every month is already closed, year end is simple: we prepare a clean year-end package for your tax preparer.
Bookkeeping Questions
We focus on bookkeeping and financial reporting. For tax planning and filing we work alongside your CPA or tax preparer and make sure they have clean books.
Yes. Many clients prefer a short monthly call to go over their reports and questions.
